Richard W. Flynt, passed away Friday, April 23, 2021 with the love of his life beside him along with his rock, his youngest son, Dylan.
He is preceded in death by his father Eugene Flynt; mother Garnett Harper; and brothers Jimmy Flynt, Harold Flynt, and Ronnie Harper.
Richard is survived by the love of his life, his wife, Melissa Flynt; sons, his rock Dylan Flynt, Richard (Jen) Flynt, Randy (Nicole) Flynt; daughter Angie Rhodes; grandchildren Richie, Alex, Hannah, Mila, Evan, Grayson, Cade, Rocky, and Gianni; and last but not least, Charlotte, his baby girl.
Richard proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and the National Guard. He worked many years at the Holiday Inn Akron-South & Mansfield as the food and beverage Director. He loved hunting, fishing, camping, the outdoors itself. He was a people person, could make anyone smile and talk to anyone for hours. He was a kind hearted person, would go out of his way to help anyone with anything. He had charisma like no other, he was a natural born leader. Richard was absolutely fearless. There was not very many things he couldn't make happen, he always made things happen no matter what. He had touched the heart and soul of many many people, as he will continue to do such through his son Dylan, whom Richard had always said, they were twins. He will be missed very deeply. Richard and Dylan shared a bond like no other and like they would always say to each other, " May the wind always be upon your back, and the sun upon your face, and may the winds of destiny carry you aloft to dance with the stars." Until we meet again. Farewell Richard, keep walking tall wherever you may roam now.
A Celebration of Life will be held May 5, 2021, Wednesday from 5:00PM to 9:00PM at the Holiday Inn Canton(Belden Village) (4520 Everhard Rd NW., Canton 44718).
