Wade W. Deemer, 96, passed away on March 4, 2021. He was born on May 6, 1924 the son of the late Ira and Clara Deemer. He graduated from Timken Vocational High School and then graduated from Ohio State University. Wade proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII as a dental assistant. He was a man of great faith and was a long time member of St. John's UCC and a Charter Member of Faith Community Fellowship, Massillon. Wade loved gardening, big band music and spending time with family. He especially enjoyed playing with his granddaughter when she was young, building high lego towers, playing marching band and showing her the joy of using your imagination.
He retired after many years as a teacher for Canton City Schools. Wade loved being an educator. For many years while living at The Regency he met with his wife, Lea, and other visually impaired residents and read them crossword puzzles and interesting articles from the newspaper. He would tease that he needed to get his lesson plans ready before their next meeting.
He was preceded in death by his parents; beloved wife of 68 years, Leatrice; and sisters Meriam Cook, Betty Snellenberger; and Dorothy Bowen Wallace.
Wade is survived by his loving daughter, Julie (Jim) Krisher; granddaughter Jennifer (Mike McCahan); brother Edgar Draime; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Per Wade's wishes cremation will take place and there will be no services due to CoVid.
