Thomas Carr, “Squealer” was born in Canton, Ohio on April 10, 1959 to Thomas & Frances Carr. He received his wings on February 15, 2021 at the age 61; he is the oldest of six children. Squealer graduated from McKinley Senior High School and soon afterwards joined the United States Marine Corps in 1978. While enlisted he was presented with the Rifle Marksman Award and received an Honorable Discharge in 1984 after serving 6 years. He was employed with Olympco for over 30 years.
Squealer had a great desire for sports, particularly- basketball, football and softball. But above all, he was a devoted family man. He is preceded in death by his mother Frances Carr. Squealer is survived by his common law wife of 40 years, Juanita Covington; his father, Thomas Carr Jr.; his sisters- Tanya and Terry Carr; his brothers- James Howard Carr, Timothy Carr and Terrel Carr; his 7 stepchildren, and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, step-grandchildren, cousins and friends.
Squealer was loved by all who knew him and will be deeply missed.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, February 25, 2021 at Reed Funeral Home on Raff Road and visitation will be held one hour prior from 10:00 to 11:00AM. He will be laid to rest at the Forest Hill Cemetery. However, due to COVID-19, social distancing orders will be in place, this of course will limit the amount of people allowed to attend the service. Since there will be several people unable to show their respect, the family will be hosting a Celebration of Life event immediately following the burial at the Foltz Community Center located at 224 N Wood St, East Canton. Food and beverages will be supplied.
