Patricia Flowers Obituary

Patricia Ann (Gordon) Flowers age 66, passed away peacefully January 10, 2021 surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was born to Sara Evans and James Gordon on November 28, 1954.

Born and raised in Canton, Ohio she devoted her life to caring for her family, children and others.  She worked over 35 years as a Certified Nurse Aide and Direct Care Provider.  Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Austin J. Flowers, her brother Don L. “Shorty” Dorsey, nephew Ricky McDowell, and her cousin Victoria Davis.

She was passionate about spending time with her loved ones, shopping at Roses and traveling with friends and family. She was also an active member of Ladies on the Move.  She is survived by her brother John L. Dorsey and sisters Rosa Mary Evans and Cassandra Wise (Bae Bae).  Also left to celebrate her life and legacy are her six children Jerry Gordon (Makea), Derrick Gordon, Kevin Gordon, Shaun Curtis (Yolanda), Dadisi “D.C.” Curtis (Claudia) and Desiree Flowers.  She also leaves behind twenty-two grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews, special friends/sister Mary Alice Randall (J.R.) special niece Angela Flowers, special son Brian Kerns and cousin, Ulysses Davis (Bonnie).

The family will receive friends on Friday, January 15, 2021 at Greater Bethel Apostolic Church, 2335 15th St. SW Canton, Ohio 44706 from 11am to 12pm with services to follow at 12pm. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery. Due to COVID-19 masks are required and social distancing guidelines are in place.

The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to Mercy Medical Center Emergency Department and Critical Care Unit staff for caring for her and the family during this time.
Arrangements were provided by Reed Funeral home of Canton, Greater Bethel Apostolic Church, Pastor Sherman Martin and Elder Carlos Morris.  Internment at Forest Hill Cemetery of Canton.
