Nina Blanche (Warren) Carrick age 97, of House of Loreto Canton, Ohio passed away on December 23, 2020. She had Vascular Dementia for many years and recently COVID-19.
Preceded in death by her husband Edward "Teddy" Carrick in 1986; grandson Kyle Cooper in 1990; and son Timothy Carrick (Brenda) 2019.
Nina is survived by her two sisters June Garman of Canton, OH., and Donna Jacobson Cormier of AZ; children, Edward (Cheryl) Carrick of Canton, Ohio., Joe (Lisa) Carrick of Zoar, OH., Janet (John) Burns of Hanoverton, OH., Catherine Hagood Ballard of Bishop, GA., Chris (Teresa) Carrick of Lawrenceville, GA., Lynette (Dave) Cooper of Fleetwood, PA.; and many grandchildren, great and great great grandchildren.
Nina was a breast cancer survivor since 1992. Most precious to her were babies and she was well known for making designed Clothes Patch Baby Quilts. From her first baby quilt in 1958 to her last one made in 2005, she made over 2200 baby quilts.
She has resided at The House of Loreto for the past 10 years. We want to send our Thanks to the many Sisters, Nurses, and Staff for their compassion and care of our Mother during her residency. She was like family to them.
In lieu of flowers we would love for you to make memorial contribution in honor of our Mother to The House of Loreto The Congregation of the Divine Spirit. They are so dedicated to the care of the aged, they do a wonderful job, and it is a wonderful place to live in your end of life years. We are immensely indebted to them. Thank you.
A private burial is being arranged at this time and a celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
