A special hero to his family:

David Faverty- Husband, Father, grandfather, Great Grandfather, a Brother , a Uncle. Let me tell you what he taught me. I learned the responsibility of working hard and providing for your family. He taught me how to never give up. He never gave up when he was hit hard with rheumatoid arthritis, he worked hard until his body couldn't. He never gave up even when doctors did when he had a bleed on his brain. He fought to be able to dress himself and feed himself. I seen the struggle for years of the pain he went through, but he never gave up.Thus I have learned never to give up.

He was a firefighter for Plain Twp. And East Sparta. He would answer the call when someone was in need. I would see him rush to the station to get on a truck. I knew someone needed him more at this time than me. When he returned from the call I would ask him all about the call. Sometimes he would give me all the details and sometimes I could tell something didn't go well and he shielded from those details. I followed in his footsteps becoming a firefighter. I would not be the person I am today if it wasn't from him. If I am half the man my father was, then I know I will be fine.

David Faverty was a lot to some, but to me his was my Hero.

Love you Pops.
