Jack D Russell, on May 16, 2020, at the age of 68, a gentle, loving soul began a new adventure. After a several year- long battle with cancer, Jack passed away at home with his wife and family at his side.
Jack will be forever loved and cherished by his wife and best friend, Sue, his 5 children, Ann (Rod) Alessandrini, Jack (Angie) Russell, Suzi (Sam) Stepanovich, Jeremy (Lara) Morris, Joshua Morris, and his 9 grandchildren, A.J., Jordan, Tyler, Mackenzie, Dominic, Kalia, Brennen, Ashley, and Memphis. Jack will also be forever loved and remembered by brothers and sisters-in-laws, Diane (Mark), John, Patty, Sally, and Fred (Michelle), numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
Jack was preceded in death by his father and mother, Willard (Bill) and Eleanor (Haas) Russell, a sister, Joan Albers, and sister-in-law Karen Sweany.
Born August 8, 1951 in Canton, Ohio, he graduated from Timken Vocational High School in 1970, and completed an electrician apprenticeship program.
Jack retired in 2014 after 44 years of service as a journeyman electrician with the IBEW local 540. He was also a gifted glass bender, making neon art and signs for several years as co-owner of the Neon Shop.
He loved spending his free time and retirement on his farm in Carroll County, taking grandkids for rides on his tractor, mowing, brush hogging, and tending his bees. Jack cherished his time with his sons, as a Boy Scout leader with troop 939. He also loved golfing, traveling, and was an avid reader.
An intimate celebration of Jack's life will be held at a later date.
