Agnes Catherine (Ginright) Hampton, Grand Rising, 6/23/1925 Sunset 11/24/2019.
Agnes is preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Hampton Jr., parents, Lockman and Kathleen Ginright; brothers, William and Homer Ginright; sisters, Grace (Joe) Livingston, LuLa (Jack) Clax and Tulah (Angnies) Robinson and one son, Charles Mac Hampton.
Agnes' union with Lloyd produced 13 children 3 preceded in death at birth.
She was a mother to many, and unconditionally loved many a youngn's. She loved to live life and enjoyed a good cup of coffee in the mornings, and maybe a swallow or two after supper. She enjoyed family coming together for supper and catching up and hanging out and being with family.
Agnes has been honored as one of Canton's DIVA and received the Mayors Honor for Community with youth and seniors. Agnes is best known to many for her cornbread, cabbage, butter rolls and her beloved garden.
Agnes leaves behind 3 daughters, Mary J. Hampton, Patricia A. Hampton and Wednesday R. Hampton; 6 sons, Benjamin F, John W, James H., Robert L., Daniel and Richard Hampton; 30 grandchildren, 47 great grandchildren, 27 great great grandchildren and great great great grandchildren still in progress along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins family and friends.
Calling hours are Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at Reed Funeral Home Canton Chapel, 705 Raff Rd. SW Canton, Ohio 44710 from 11am to 12pm with services to follow at 12pm. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery.
