Darrell A. Slaybaugh, 63, of Jackson Township, passed away on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at his home, with his loving wife by his side. He was born in Toledo, OH on September 15, 1955 to Edna M. and the late Richard M. Slaybaugh, Sr. He was a graduate of Bowling Green State University and was a RESNA certified Assistive Technology Practitioner and a member of the National Rehabilitation Association. He spent his life committed to the enhancement of lives of persons with disabilities. Darrell will be remembered for his quick-witted sense of humor, his generous heart, his love of music, his vast knowledge of trivia and his fondness for spending time on his pontoon boat on Lake Cable. There wasn't a person that met Darrell that was not fond of him.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife and best friend, Karen S. (Ferguson) Slaybaugh; stepson, Kurt V. Lunkwitz; his mother, Edna M. Slaybaugh; brothers, Richard (Jaclyn) Slaybaugh, Jr. and Randall (Marion McClelland) Slaybaugh and sister, Marsha Slaybaugh; nieces and nephews, Colleen, Rachel, Zachary and Joshua Slaybaugh and many good friends. A bright light has dimmed with the passing of this extraordinary, special soul.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00pm on Sunday, November 18, 2018 at the Lake Cable Clubhouse, 5725 Fulton Dr. NW, Canton, OH.
