Randall Shayde Chapman, "Randy", passed away unexpectedly, September 27, 2014 in Akron, Ohio at the age of 45. Randy is survived by his parents Andrew and Candace Chapman of Navarre Ohio; his wife Rebecca Chapman; his son Cody and daughter Alicia Chapman of East Canton, Ohio. He is also survived by, sister Stacey Chapman; brothers Mike and Scott Chapman; his granddaughter Payton Chapman as well as countless loving family.
Randy was born on February 1, 1969 in Gallipolis, Ohio to Andrew and Candace Chapman. He graduated from Fairless High school and RG Drage in 1987. He married Rebecca Needs, his high school sweetheart in 1989. They spent the most loving 26 years together. Randy was a member of Ohio Operating Engineers Local #18 and was a heavy equipment operator for over 22 years. The couple welcomed two children into their home and Randy began teaching them about life, love, the Lord and how to make the world a better place. His children remember their dad as a kind, gentle, patient, hardworking, compassionate, loving and devoted man. Randy encouraged them to pursue their goals and loved them unconditionally.
Randy was an individual who was passionate about the Lord as well as his wife, kids and family. He was an active and dedicated member of the Mineral City Church of The Nazarene and often did missionary work as a part of his amazing life.
A Memorial Service is scheduled for October 11, 2014 at 4 p.m at Mineral City Church of The Nazarene, 4705 Center St. Mineral City, Ohio, with a reception to follow at the church. Pastor Terry Passmore will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Randy's life.
