Myrna B. Rose (nee Butterfield)
age 91, passed away on Monday, Nov. 27, 2017, at the Hearthstone Health Campus in Bloomington, Ind. She was born on Dec. 11, 1925, in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Albert and Lula (nee Bonheimer) Butterfield. Her younger brother, Don, preceded her in death in 2016. Myrna was married on Dec. 1, 1942, in Fort Wayne, Ind., to Frank Rose, who preceded her in death on June 29, 1989. Ten days after their marriage, Frank was inducted into the U.S. Army and they were reunited in 1945. She worked for Ray Crowl Advertising Agency and was executive assistant at WNYN Radio Station in Canton, Ohio. After Frank passed away in 1989, she moved to Bloomington, Ind., to be near her daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren. She was a member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church.
She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Myrna is survived by a daughter, Brenda (Brian) Lewis of Bloomington, and a son, Bryan (Marcia) Rose of Frisco, Texas; three grandchildren, Mariah (Chris) Bruce and Megan (Matthew Dimmett) Lewis, of Bloomington, and Sean Boshears of Addison, Texas. Myrna was proud of her great-grandchildren, Carter Cheaney and Ellie Lewis.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, Dec. 10th, 2017, at the Reed Funeral Home, NORTH CANTON CHAPEL, 801 Pittsburg Ave. Visitation from 12 to 1 p.m., with a memorial service to follow at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Mark's Methodist Church, 100 North State Road 46 Bypass, Bloomington, IN 47404 or the Cairn Terrier Club of America, c/o Angie Chiquette, 6852 US Hwy 160, LaVeta, CO 81055.
