Mary Ruth Keatley, age 84, of Canton, passed away on Thursday, February 5, 2009 at Mercy Medical Center. She was born in Marietta, Ohio, on January 14, 1925, to the late Goldie V. Adams from Preston County, West Virginia. After graduating there in 1943, Mary came to Canton where she married Hobert Keatley and spent the rest of her life. She helped her husband with his business, Mortar Gun Company, for many years. She was a member of the Arlington Ave. Church of God in Canton. In addition to her mother, Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Hobert Keatley, in 2001; oldest son, Ronald H. Keatley in 2000; her infant triplets, Benny Ray, Jimmy Jay and Jenny Kay; 5 year old granddaughter, Michelle Marie Keatley; favorite aunt, Mary Pettit; and daughter-in-law, Pearl Keatley. She is survived by her devoted daughter, Debbie Snyder of Canton; youngest son and his wife, Randy and Lorrie Keatley of Casselberry, FL; grandchildren, Janet and Justin Keatley of Casselberry, FL, Ronald Keatley of Minerva, Jesse Keatley of Sebring and Steve Keatley of Minerva; two great-grandchildren, Ashley and Audrianna Keatley of Minerva; her best friend and classmate, Mary Jane Stone of West Virginia; several cousins in West Virginia; and her spoiled rotten loyal dog, Sadie. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, February 9, 2009 at 1:30pm in the Reed Funeral Home Canton Chapel with Pastor Webb Parsons officiating. Burial will follow in West Lawn Cemetery. Calling hours will be held for one hour prior to the service from 12:30-1:30pm in the funeral home.
