Mary Elizabeth (Casto) Miller age 88 of Canton, Ohio passed away Monday January 28, 2002 in the comfort of her home. Born in Marietta, Ohio on April 10, 1913 she was the daughter of the late, Virgil L. and Elva C. (Martin) Casto. She moved from Marietta to Canton in 1940 and was employed as a Legal Secretary, serving the firm of Quinn, Quinn & Hillibish and then retiring from the firm of Mills, Mills, Fiely & Lucas in 1978. She was a member of the Fairmount Park United Presbyterian Church, a member of the Crystal Club, Wilma Forrester Missionary, was a former President, Secretary and Treasurer of the Canton AARP #316. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, William R. ''Bill'' Miller, also by a baby Girl Miller and two brothers, Dwight and Lyle Casto.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Richard A. and Kim Miller of California, David W. and Frances ''Frankie'' Miller of Magnolia, OH.
Grandchildren, Steve and Tamara Miller, Robert Miller and Heather all of Canton, Annette Miller of San Jose, CA., Timothy, Jeffrey and Steven Powell all of Canton and Pauline Powell of Massillon. Twelve great grandchildren, Adam Miller of Myrtle Beach, SC., Shannon and Britnee Miller of Atwater, OH., Morgan, Sierra, Nicholas, Elizabeth, Merri and Glori Anne Miller and Kegan Powell all of Canton, Andrea Miller of Medina, OH., Kyla Powell of Massillon and one great grandchild, Dustin Wade Spruill of North Carolina. There are many beloved family members residing in Marietta, Ohio as well as special neighbors and her close friend, Ruth Kohlmyer of Canton.
A Memorial Service will be held Sunday at 1 p.m. in the Fairmount Park Presbyterian Church, 2817 Harmont Ave. N.E., Canton. Her wishes were to be cremated and her cremains will be buried on Friday at 1 p.m. in the Forest Hill Cemetery. The Reed Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Mercy Medical Center Hospice, 1320 Mercy Dr. N.W., Canton, Ohio -44708.
