Major Mildred G. Fox age 84 a resident at the Oakhill Manor Care Center in Louisville passed away Wednesday evening in Aultman Hospital following an extended illness. Born in Canton, Ohio on February 9, 1921 she was the daughter of the late, Harry and Christina Fox. She was a retired officer from the Salvation Army, retiring February 28, 1983, after having over 40 years of faithful and dedicated service to the corps. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, May Pearl Maddern and Geraldine Durant and a brother, Earl Fox.
Survivors include two brothers, Harry Fox of Canton and Eugene Fox of Columbus, OH. There are numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the Salvation Army Corp, 420 Market Ave. S., in Canton with Major, Randy Savage to officiate. Burial will be in West Lawn Cemetery. Calling hours at the Reed Funeral Home on Monday evening 7-9 p.m. and one hour before services at the Salvation Army on Tuesday from 12-1 p.m.
