Helen Mobley, age 74, of Canton, passed away Wednesday evening in Hanover House following an extended illness. Born in Charleston, WV, February 19, 1929, daughter of the late William and Iva ( Slater ) Bays, she lived most of her life in the Canton area and was a retired sales clerk for O' Neils, retiring in 1984 after 16 years of service. She was a member of Canton Baptist Temple and the Canton Eagles # 2370. She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Roy Mobley Jr, on January 4, 1990, three sisters and one brother. Survivors include her daughter, Karen Mobley of Massillon, one brother Thomas Jefferson Bays of Charleston, WV and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 1:00p.m in the Reed Funeral Home with Rev. Delaney Young officiating. Interment will be in North Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the services on Tuesday from 12:00 - 1:00p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in her name to the American Heart Association.
