Burdine F. Williams, age 85, of North Canton, passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2009. She was born on November 16, 1923 in Canton. Burdine was a graduate of McKinley High School. She retired in 1990 from the Gilette Company after many years of faithful service. Burdine enjoyed reading and traveling. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas Swonger; second husband, Earle Williams; parents, Harvey and Esther Klinzman; and son, Thomas Swonger. Burdine is survived by her daughter, Frances (Chris) Koehler of Canton; three grandchildren, Charles Jackson of Canton, Kristy Weese of Canton and Greg (Jamie) Koehler of Hopkinsville, KY; six great-grandchildren, Stephanie, Stacy, Matthew and Alex Koehler and Brandon and Tiffany Weese; nieces and nephews; extended family, Karen and Rick, Claudia, Pat and Marty, Barb and Chuck; and her beloved cat, Lelia. The family would like to extend a special "thank-you" to the neighbors in the Sherbrook Condo Association and to Dr. Fayen for all of his kindness and care. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2009 at 1pm in the Reed Funeral Home Canton Chapel with Pastor Dana Gammill officiating. Calling hours will be held Friday (TODAY) from 6-8pm and one hour prior to the service on Saturday from 12-1pm in the funeral home. Burial will be in Sunset Hills Burial Park.
