Obituary

Betty Louisa Miller, age 93, a 71 year resident of Osnaburg Township went home to be with the Lord, January 16th 2011. Preceded in death by her husband Jack B. Miller in Dec. 2008 who was the love of her life & with whom she could not go a day without complimenting & wanting to see again, she now stands once again at his side. She leaves behind a daughter Linda I. Nicholls (widow to the late Victor E. Nicholls) of Canton OH, a son Jay S. Miller (Mary J. Miller) of East Canton, daughter Jeanette L. Morris (Gregory P. Morris) also of East Canton; five grandchildren, Jayson G. Miller (Nicole) of Utah, Jaime C. Miller (Jena) of East Canton, Jonathan E. Miller (fiancee' Joni) of East Canton, Aaron P. Morris (Jillian) of Canton, and Brandon W. Morris of East Canton, (fiancee' Kaleigh Harmon of Dalton); 3 great grandchildren, Hannah Miller of Utah, Mazzy & Layne Miller of East Canton and Joey Miller of Waynesburg. With deepest appreciation to Comfort Keepers and special gratitude to Julie Wyer, mom's special caregiver for a period of years, and with whom she developed a love like that of another daughter, and with respect and appreciation to all those who helped Betty live out her final months in dignaty, compassion, companionship, activities, and loving care at the Memory Support Unit at St. Joseph's Care Center in Louisville Ohio. Betty was a long time member of the Ambassador Class at Canton Baptist Temple. Her life blood was her relationship with the Lord and her children. She spent every Friday for many years playing Euchre with the Seniors under the leadership of Connie Holmes in Louisville with whom she was able to make many new friends that meant so very much to her. Betty's biggest wish was that all would come to Christ, and as she wrote; "Death for the Christian is not bane, but blessing, not tragedy, but triumph". Funeral services will be Thursday at 2pm in the Reed Funeral Home Canton Chapel, with the Rev. Delaney Young officiating. Burial will take place in Liberty Church Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 1-2pm on Thursday in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made, in her name, to the Ambassador Class at the Canton Baptist Temple or to the Memory Support Unit at St. Joseph Care Center. Those wishing to send condolences or share a fond memory, may sign the Reed On-Line Guestbook at www.reedfuneralhome.com.
