Anna Mizeres, age 86, of Canton, passed away on August 8, 2010 in Mercy Medical Center. She was born in Canton on September 29, 1923 to the late James and Sophia (Gianopoulos) Bates. Anna was a life long resident of the area and a 1941 graduate of Timken High School. She married George Mizeres on November 9, 1947 and shared 62 years of marriage. She was employed with the Darling Shop and Mangels in the early sixties, but devoted her time and energy to her husband and three children. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Gust and John Bates, sisters, Nicolette Bates, Clara Null, Angie Macris and Bessie Gallos. She is survived by her loving husband George; her children, Sandra (Ben) List of Canton, James (Gail) Mizeres of North Lawrence and Nick Mizeres of Canton; her grandsons, Scott (Talethia) Mizeres, Matthew and Ryan List; and two great grandchildren, Chase and Malia Mizeres. Funeral services will be Friday at 11am in Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 4705 Fairhaven Ave. NW Canton, OH 44709, with the Most Reverend Fr. Daniel Rogich officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery. Calling hours will be Thursday from 5-8pm in the Reed Funeral Home North Canton Chapel, with a Trisagion Service at 7pm.
