Edna Mae Waiters, 55, of Canton passed away on Sunday, April 8, 2018. She was born March 11, 1963 to the late John Henry Johnson and Cora Mae Waiters in Demopolis, Alabama.
Edna graduated from Timken High School and was a member of Faith Community Church.
Edna enjoyed life to the fullest always smiling, cleaning, collecting, gardening, cooking and decorating, she also loved to take walks in the park with her sister.
She was preceded in death by her father, John Henry Johnson of Alabama; mother, Cora Mae Waiters; sister, Barbara Jean Waiters of Massachusetts and brother, Joe Eric Waiters.
Edna was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend and will be dearly missed by her family and friends who will cherish her memories; common law husband, Don Wright; daughter, Mych’ocole Johnson Macksyn; granddaughter, Alaya Aynch; grandson, Aalandiss Lynch; great granddaughters, Zh’mya, Rah’mia and Na’kia; special aunt, Holli (Ron) Johnson; siblings, Elveria (Melvin) Reeves, Gene Waiters, Mary (Roger) Fite of Massillon, Perry Township, Robert Waiters, Gloria Waiters of Massachusetts, George (Miriam “Peaches”) Waiters and Johnnie Mae “Princess” (Robert) Merriweather and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Cleveland Clinic, Laurels of Canton and Mercy Hospital staffs for all of the love and support given to Edna and her family
The family will receive friends on Friday, April 20, 2018 at Faith Community Church, 4301 Cleveland Ave. NW Canton, Ohio 44709 form 11am to 12pm with services to follow at 12pm. Burial will follow in North Lawn Cemetery.
