Robert P. Nicewander Sr., known by all as "Poppy" passed away peacefully March 12, 2018. Born July 11, 1941, he spent his life driving truck for Nickles Bakery and retired in 2004. Though retired, he continued to drive Rollback for his son Robert Jr. at his business Central Ohio Recovery, and had reluctantly got out of the seat his Rolback in 2015. He loved everything trains, had a fondness for animals, and a great knowledge of many things. He was a quiet man who loved to observe, smile and laugh. He was welcomed and befriended everywhere he went.
He is preceded in death by wife Nancy, his parents, Russell and Nellie Nicewander and siblings Donald, Margie and Mary.
Robert is survived by his son Robert Jr and wife Sharon, granddaughter Cassandra Mizer, his daughter Crystal Hardacre, grandchildren Dave and Jennifer Barnes and Wyatt Barnes, Kellie Galan and fiance Mike Hobgood, Kyle and Allison May Galan, his siblings Russ, Faye, Karen and Esther, all of his many nieces and nephews and the entire staff of Central Ohio Recovery whom he considered family and whose lives will forever be changed both from his life and his death.
