On November 4, 2017, Judy Kay Willaman Cawthorne finished her work on earth and earned her heavenly wings. Judy was born on May 20, 1939 in Canton Ohio to Kenneth E. Willaman, deceased, and Hellen Rabel Willaman. She graduated from North Canton High School in 1957 and then attended nursing school at Akron City Hospital School of Nursing. She graduated in 1960 and began working as a surgical nurse, which she did for over 44 years till she retired to spend time with her mother, whom she adored. Judy treasured spending time with her family, she liked to fish, read, feed the animals and birds in her yard and she loved music. She enjoyed her volunteer work at the North Canton Library and was a member of the Zion United Church of Christ in North Canton. Judy's enormous personality, selflessness, friendly smile and laughter filled many hearts and will be sorely missed by family and friends.
Judy was preceded in death by her husband Brian Cawthorne, her father Kenneth Willaman and two brothers James Willaman and Kenneth Willaman. She was survived and dearly loved by her family, her mother Helen Willaman, sister-in-law Ann Willaman, her lifetime best-friend Mary Lou Russo, niece Patty Willaman Garber and husband Mark Garber, two nephews James K. Willaman and wife Peggy Tucker, Kenneth Willaman and wife Renae Willaman. There are also 3 great nieces, 3 great nephews and 2 great great nieces and 2 great great nephews who will miss her deeply.
A Celebration of Judy's life will be held on Wednesday, November 15 at 1:00 pm at the Zion United Church of Christ in North Canton, In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Zion United Church of Christ in North Canton or the North Canton Public Library.
