Donald Charles McPeek, 91, of Canal Fulton, passed away on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at St. Joseph Care Center. He was born in Canton on April 19, 1926 to the late Charles and Hazel McPeek and was a 1944 graduate of Timken Vocational High School. Donald proudly served in the United States Army during WWII. He was employed with Goodyear Aerospace as a technician, retiring after 33 years of employment. Donald was also an aircraft and engine mechanic. He would help out at the Cleveland Air Show, where he would work on P51 fighter jets. He was a former member of the United Brethren Church and enjoyed going to Geneva, OH. Donald was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting and fishing. He was a very devoted husband who took good care of his wife.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Vivian Edds.
He leaves his wife, Alma "Amy" (Reikowski) McPeek; brother, Kenneth McPeek and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Friday at 11:30am at the Reed Funeral Home North Canton Chapel, 801 Pittsburg Ave. NW.
Entombment will follow in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be prior to the service from 11-11:30am at the funeral home.
