Claudell Messer Reifsnyder, age 92, passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2017. She was born in Warne, North Carolina and lived in Young Harris, Georgia, until World War II when she came to Canton to work.
She retired from the Timken Co. after 34 years. She met her husband, of 58 years, Jack Reifsnyder, in Canton. He passed away in 2004.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack, her parents, Garland P and Ada Messer, two brothers and four sisters.
She is survived by her brother, Bob Messer (Montene) of Jackson, South Carolina and sister Faye Ford of Warne, North Carolina, and several nieces and nephews she dearly loved; son Brent (Jane) Reifsnyder of Bolivar, Ohio and daughter, Jackie Cruse, of Tampa, Florida. She was a loving MeMaw to grandchildren, Zachary (Ruth) Reifsnyder, Abigail (Anthony) Fiorelli of Charleston, West Virginia, Ashlie (Brad) Hatton of Richmond, Kentucky and Jamie (Jim) Ward of Canton, Georgia; seven great grandchildren, Jackson and Blake Hatton, Katheryn Ward, Ella and Colton Reifsnyder, and Dylan, Noelle, and Emilia Fiorelli; also, her beloved cats, Blackie, Doc, and Sissy, and dear friends, Mabel Simpson and Carol Rabun with whom she worked.
No services are planned. Burial at Sunset Hills. She was always an animal lover; donations can be made in her name to Stark County Humane Society.
