Steve Negulic, 95, of Canton, passed away peacefully, on Wednesday, August 9, 2017, with his family by his side. He was born in Massillon on March 15, 1922 to the late, George and Pauline Negulic and was a graduate of Massillon Washington High School. Steve went on to proudly serve in the United States Army during WWII, where he earned the rank of T4 Sgt. and was stationed in China, Burma and India. He was past commander and life member of the VFW Post #3124 in Massillon and a life member of Canton Elk's Lodge #68. Steve retired as supervisor from Republic Steel after 41 years of employment. He was a member of Family Christian Center, was an avid golfer and bowler and coached in the Whipple Baseball League.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, George, Gabe and Alex; sisters, Helen and Mary; son-in-law, Earl S. Dehn III and his grandson, Kevin Dehn.
He leaves his loving wife, Eleanor, with whom he just celebrated 69 years of marriage on August 1st; sons, Steven Negulic of Coppell, TX and Scott (Jenny) Negulic of North Lawrence; daughters, Leslie Dehn of North Canton and Kathy Negulic of Carrollton, TX; and granddaughters, Kimberly Dehn and Nadia Negulic.
Funeral services will be Monday at 11:30am at the Reed Funeral Home Canton Chapel, with the Rev. Fred Bays officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.
