Obituary

Vera Mae (Lawrence) Kitto, 96, passed away at The Regency in Canton, OH, in the morning of May 16, 2017. Born October 24, 1921 to the late Clyde and Rose (Mathias) Lawrence, in Canton. After she graduated from Canton McKinley High School in 1939, she worked at Moock Electric and E.W. Bliss Co. Remaining a true fan of the McK Bulldogs, she also watched her Browns and Indians faithfully, patiently waiting for NEXT YEAR. Vera Mae was an avid golfer and bowler, achieving many awards over the years. She knit hundreds of sweaters for her many nieces and nephews, and other family members. In addition to her parents, Vera Mae was preceded in death by her husband Wilbur (Bill) Kitto in September 1994. She is also preceded in death by her brothers, Lister (Lucinda) and Karl (Evelyn) Lawrence. Vera Mae is survived by many nieces and nephews upon whom she lavished her love and attention. The family would like to thank Bob Ott and Carol Darr, Sarah Holm and the staff of The Regency and Great Lakes Hospice for the special care provided to our sweet Aunt Vera Mae. A service at Sunset Hills Burial Park, in the small chapel, on July 17 at noon.
