Obituary

John J. Camps, 81, passed away on March 4, 2018. He was born on September 15, 1936 the son of the late Juan & Marta Camps of Guantanamo, Cuba. John retired from Goodyear after many years of service. He was a man of great faith and was a member of Our Lady of Victory. John enjoyed listening to latin music. He had a quick smile and a kind heart. He had many accomplishments but his greatest was his love for his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and son John J. Camps III.
John is survived by his best friend and loving wife of 56 years, Barbara A. Camps; his loving family, son Kevin P. (Jennifer) Camps; sister Grethel (Robert) Fisher; and many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held Sunday from 5:00PM to 8:00 PM at the Reed Funeral Home (NORTH CANTON CHAPEL) 801 Pittsburg Ave NW North Canton.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday at 10:00AM at Our Lady of Victory (91 North Ave. Tallmadge, OH 44278) with Fr. Michael Matusz as celebrant.
Interment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery, Akron.
