Transitions©,
a grief support program of the Reed Funeral Home for grieving families,
is designed to promote healing through understanding and education. Family
Support Services offers assistance in working through the grief process
and readjusting to life after death of a loved one through support and encouragement.
The following are offerings of Transitions©:(A Special Time of Sharing for the Bereaved) A community program held annually the Sunday before Thanksgiving. (Non-Denominational Community Service) A special day established to remember and honor our loved ones. An opportunity to honor the memory of someone very special and to remember their life and death in a meaningful way. An opportunity to validate and remember the importance of our loved one's life while strengthening our personal commitment to life. Issues affecting the grief process. Published and distributed quarterly for those who are grieving and those who are in supporting roles. Educational and Supportive Programs available to the community: Death Education Understanding Grief Good Grief for Kids Grief in the Workplace Coping with the Death of a Child The Forgotten Griever - (children) Grief in Later Life Men in Grief (Additional Programs designed to meet specific requests)
